I'll get into the pre game routine (announcers and the such) and then almost right after that, the game cuts out. It seems like the gameplay would be fun and interesting except for the fact that I haven't gotten to play the darn thing. i loved their previous versions but this was just horrific. What the heck went wrong with this game. I've tried it on two different PCs (Speedpc from the stone age and an almost brand new Compaq laptop) And it STILL WONT WORK. This was the WORST WASTE OF$20 IN MY LIFE.
I would recommend 2001 to anyone interested. I was wrong. I bought this game just for something fun to do. I used to have Backyard Baseball 2001, and thought this would be a much better game being 8 years newer. The graphics arent that good and the gameplay is poor.
A Very Thoughtful 2 stars. I've tried it on 3 computers and I bought both games, and it just isn't worth the money. Because it gets all kinds of glitches, gets stuck alot, and it is just not worth the money. I love the Backyard games but I'm sorry to say it's a bust. I own the Backyard Baseball and Football 09 games ofr the PC, and I recommend not buying it. Why. Buy the old games, they don't get all the glithces as these do.
My two boys love playing Backyard Baseball on the computer.They have all the past Backyard Baseball PC games and this onehas all their favorite current players in it.I highly recommend Backyard Baseball 2009 Windows XP.
Needs a patch bad. Don't buy it. Freezes shortly into the game and won't do anything. Atari has not answered my emails.
